Being Born Isn’t Living—It’s Only the Invitation

In The END...

At the end of the day, when it all boils down,
nothing you do will matter.
This planet will eventually explode.
Civilizations will crumble.
And not one of the things you worried so deeply about will be remembered.

Not the success.
Not the failure.
Not the likes, the legacy, or the list of things you never got around to.

It’s all story.
And you are the storyteller.
But even the story fades.

So what’s the point?

If it’s all going to disappear,
if none of it is permanent...
Why are we here?

The answer is now.
Not metaphorically.
Not poetically.

I mean this exact moment.
The now you are experiencing as you read these words.

The breath in your lungs.
The tingle in your skin.
The soft awareness that—despite the chaos—you are here.

Come into the room

Most people spend their lives in an altered state.
Not because of substances, but because of distraction.

Living in loops.
Rehearsing stories.
Projecting futures.
Regretting pasts.

Stop.
Right now.
Just come into the room.

That’s it.
That’s the work.
That’s the invitation.

This is what matters

What you’re feeling right now—not what you’re reading or remembering or trying to hold onto—is the only real thing.

The Jewish mystics call it being "in the face of God."
And if you’ve seen Ready Player One, you’ll recognize this line:

"It’s the only place you can get a decent meal."

Because it’s real.

Being born isn’t the beginning of your life.
It’s just the invitation to wake up to it.

The rest?
That’s up to you.
